hit the river sat. and finally got on some decent fish to give the combo a workout.first off landed a couple gar on the combo with one being a lil more than 4 ft long.tons of fun and though the rod was a lil on the light side both rod and reel handled it well.then came the real test, all of a sudden the rod doubled over so far the tip was just inches from the water and the drag started screamin.took quite a while to land her and she was still on the smaller side of decent but ended up being a lil over 10 lb blue cat.

the rod was extremely light compared to my "normal" gear for the river but handled the stress put on it without a problem at all.even though it was doubled and then some during the fight.

the drag on the 3000 was extremely smooth thruout the fight but bout mid battle the sideplate screws started coming loose.

whenever these products come on the market ill definately be an owner!

All the test results that have come in will sure help Lee reorganize the M series rods. They have had their flaws but also have had their good points.

I am sure anxious to try mine on the Rock River Cats as soon as the water recedes and they will open the launching ramps.

So far all mine has been used for is Bluegills and performed well getting them out and over the Lilly Pads and moss.

The only problem I have encountered is like several others the butt end broke off while fishing for Bluegills. This I assume will be an easy fix. Schoe
