I was just told that a 25 plus pound large mouth was caught in cali does anyone have any info

got any info yet its sure a big bass to weigh 25lb i will let you know if i hear anything the mohawk

supposedly there was one caught 25 lb 1 oz............... BUT!

It was weighed on unofficial scales, foul hooked, not measured, and only seen by his fishing buddies.

That being said, supposedly there was a 20 lber caught in the same place in 2000

Talk is it won't be a world record for many reasons, but it does give hope.....

That is a huge bass,but i doubt that it will hold up due to the many
unkown facts.many years ago they took some nice bass from florida
and put them in some warm water areas around san deigo so they would
breed with the california large mouth,hoping to create some huge bass
and it is working,i would say that a new world record will come from that
area of california,someday.:cool:

Just so you know, that fish is worth millions to the person who catches it and there is going to be one heck of a crowd out there this spring looking for her. The endorsements are going to be huge from the tackle makers who's lure tricks the big sow into biting ;)

One thing I will say about this guy that caught that bass. He was honrable to say he didnt catch it legally and to cpr it I know a lot of people wouldnt of done that.

Yeah, but he had people watching him too LOL Other boats were waiting for him to leave. He fished for her for hours before she turned on his jig. I think he just set the hook to soon.

The Money would be nice but the Glory would bring in a lifetime of rewards. Think of the opportunities!!! Lure companies would want you to join their ProStaffs, tournament fees paid and all the media!!! A lot more money would come with all the advertising as well ;) Its going to fall soon, maybe even this year. And I have a feeling its going to be out of a California lake ;)
