Reckon there's a lot of things out there that us country folk get to see all the time , that most you city folk don't get a chance to see, unless it's on TV or you go to one of them city zoos or something...
The other day I noticed a deer standin' in my front yard, so I got to thinkin' ( I do that some times) I keep a barrel of fresh corn around all the time because of ole Big Dumb... Now to you newbies on here.. Big Dumb is one of them fancy birds that has them great big feathers with eyes on 'em.. ( Peacock) Now this here Peacock kinda adopted me.. I don't know where he come from but, I do know I've been feedin' him for about five years now..And that's why I got the barrel of corn here..

Well this AM I got up to go fishin'..I like to get an early start when it's hot out.
I got me a cup of coffee and headed for the front porch... Always have my first cup on the porch... While I was settin' there I noticed Maw's ole Tom cat actin' kinda silly... So I got to lookin' around....And then I seen what was causin' that cat to act so silly... Out there where I put that corn out there was four young coons just eatin' up a storm... That wasn't all that was goin' on this AM.. Ole Tom came runnin' up on that porch with me all swelled up and scared to death.....There was another coon on the front porch of my old cabin out beside this here trailer I live in.... I got to watchin' that old coon and he was headed for that corn too... Well, after a few minutes there was another coon come runnin' down the road.. Startin' to look like a family re-union get together in my front yard.....Wasn't long me and ole Tom seen another critter come across the neighbor's yard , well it was mister 'possum.. seems he took a likin' to that corn too.....
Now, we're lookin' at 6 coons and a 'possum and one scared cat...
And all this started just 'cause I wanted to be nice to one little ole deer..... Reckon I'll go fishin' now and after I get back I'll run over to the Amish country and get s'more corn... Reckon I'll need it now since I got this started...
Just wish I had one of them night time cameras 'cause those critters shore can act up when ya get 'em all at the feedin' table....'sides that, I wished you could see the look on Maw's ole cats face when they all showed up. :confused0068:
