Recieved my New acadia rod today
a 6'6" 2 pc Med action spinning rod. I personally would rather have a 2 pc over a 1 pc.
4-12lb test, 1/8-1/2oz L/WHT. hot,hot,hot!!!!!

Out of the box...AWSOME again. first thing I did was "test"the butt peice..A++, put some strain on it and held great, took the butt peice off and looks good in there, solid blank from the looks of it!!! no hook holder...doesnt matter to me really, I never use em.

7 total eyelets total, good quality seats. For a med. action its a pretty stiff backbone with sensative tip.

Rod color is kinda hard to tell....looks like a very dull black, maybe some brown to it????? sure its a demo but looks tuff to me, I liked the gunmetal grey on the other tets rods too...

One difference I noticed was the non exposed blank in the handle...I dont really care just noticed it..

I will be fishin in the AM so I will be setting this up with my acadia ES300 reel. My overall general impression is a A+ for this. I will get a couple pics toningh and get a couple tomm while out fishin!!!

Thanks again Lee, Thats awsome that you really listen to everyday anglers, not paying pros to sell your product...way to go!!!!

well got to do wome fishing today, no luck catching any but worked great, matched with the Acadia ES300 reel and was a very pleasent set up for catfish, had lots of confidence in the rod, improvments felt in the rod already,

Casted very smooth through the eyelets, no problems as of yet. was riged with 12lb trilene line on a 1/2 oz no roll sinker and circle hook.

Yes you are correct. This was probably when the Mfgr. got them finished.

Please realise that it takes a spell to get them to Texas and then to you. Schoe

One thing I didnt realize at first, but once I seen it I really liked the idea, The top cork handle section is the screw part for the reel seat, most spinning reels have just ring that spins to tighten reel seet down. the whole top cork section screws down, eliminates alot of gap area Ive noticed on some spinning rods, nothing thats ganna improve performance in my opinion, but its a great idea. Maybe its somthing found on top end rods anyway, im not sure, as I dont buy them..lol...

Fished dippers tournament today, hoping to get a good test out of the rod... I did, snapped in half. just about 4 inches above the connection point of the 2 pieces. fished this pole from about 7am-11 about the time it broke. couple little fish on it but nothing that should of broke it like that. maybe the weight of a very nice crappie!!!!!...lol... yes thats al I was catching today....very small catfish!!! schoe took a picture out at the boat ramp, but ill try to get a couple up on here. I dont think the carbon type rod is ganna do anything good for these rods, to many problems!!!

Definitely something that is going to have to be addressed, looks like there are still some major problems before this line of rods can be released
