GPS, Depth Finder, and other equip

I'm trying to help a long distance friend outfit a new boat. He's bought a 20 Ft sea Hunt (or so that's what he called it). He's thinking he needs to purchase a GPS unit, along with a depth finder and a few other pieces of electronics. I've been doing some research, but I'm still not sure what to tell him. Any suggestions?

trolling motor should be at least 24 volts,onboard chargers are great too.as far as depthfinder it depends on how much he wants to spend an if its fresh or saltwater. get an idea on $ , and what kind of fishing hes into and i could help more
