Went out for about three hours today in the Andalusia slough. Channel cats were slow to bite and caught four in the lip or whisker on shad. Lost one at the boat and I had a hook break to lose another. A small word to the wise when using pliars to remove hooks from that tough old catfish lip either replace hook or make sure you don't bend it back and forth or pinch it creating a weak point. Fish were 20, 18, and two at 16 inches. Absolutely beautiful day and I never saw another boat.
