Right this is probably going to amaze some of you guys, but not only do I have a love of fishing (42 years so far) but for the past 18 years I have also presented a weekly Country Music Radio show here in the UK. Yes I know a Brit that admits to liking Country Music; and especially from the likes of Buck Owens, Dwight Yoakam, Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, George Strait, etc, etc, etc. My wife is always complaining cause of the 4,000+ CDs sitting around all over the place at home!
Not only do I now have the chance to share my love of fishing with some nice new buddies on your side of the Atlantic but also hopefuly some great chat about Country music.
Now this got me to thinking that perhaps some of you can think of country songs about fishing to add to my collection? Any ideas? Over to you.....

Mike, I too was bitten by the music bug and played Rock in the late 60's and early 70's and went to Country-Rock as that was where the money was and continued that for a lot of years. All those Fri. and Sat. nights bought a lot of groceries and made ends meet a lot easier. And we still found time to fish.

I agree with "Tee" It's never too hot to fish especially if you have a large umbrella in the boat with you. Schoe

Thanks for some of those songs Guys. I knew about the N.G.D.B. song and I recently got hold of the Brad Paisley album. Played it in the car with my wife driving and even she saw the funny side of it. Made sure that it's on the radio station's computer now so that I can play it this Saturday during my show. We are hoping to shortly broadcast through the world wide web, once we get set up I'll post you.
Any other songs?

The first time I heard this one I nearly died laughing. I can so see that happening with some of my friends. Not me, no, I'd never do that!:D

You get a line, I'll get a pole we go down to the crawfish hole. I will have to say that Tee has hit the All American nail right on the head with Doug Stone. And don't forget about Marty Brown.
