Well Bobber Dude "Paul Leib" sent me some sets of his product for us to try out and evaluate. I gave one set to member Illinoisgiller to try out and give us a report and I am taking a set to Ky. next week and give them a workout, then when we get back we will run a give away for the other set which one of our members will have a chance to win in a drawing.
BE SURE your profile is filled out to be elegible for any and all of our Contests and Drawings. Watch for further details.

I do want to thank Paul for donating some of his products for us to try and give away. Check his ad out at, www.BulletBobber.com and order some as they're very inexpensive and give them a try.

Colby Jack
they are not costly enough to worry about a discount,i ordered 2 sets
3 different sizes to a set they are $6.00 per set+ $1.00 shipping,if you
order more than $10.00 worth you save the shipping cost.if they work
like they say, he is selling them to cheap:D

I hope to give the Bobber Dudes product a try today if we take the canoe along. This will be a tough one for me. I need the canoe to test these because I just plain do not want to take the chance of loosing one to a snag.
I normally buy my bobbers at The Grizz shop, and get #738 Carlsyle in a box of 3 doz. at a time. I've been re-working them to fit my needs.
I cut the plastic bead off the top, put a #8 glass bead on a doll needle, take a short peice of shrink tube and place over the top stem. Hold the glass bead in the stem at the height where as the tube shrinks it will grab and hold the bead in place, but not cover it. Hit it with a heat gun, The shrink tube will not only grab the bead but will shrink the white tube also. After cooling, pull the needle out. I then put a piece of toothpick in the glass bead hole and dip the top in white Plasti-Coat paint for better visibility in the evening.
When all this time and work is done, I no longer have a bobber. With the addition of proper shot weight, I have a working float.
If you are out fishing and find a #738 altered float on the bank, you will know who donated it .
I am very interested in how this new float will preform in a balanced situation. The crappie here at this time of year are sensitive to unbalanced bobber resistance. Get them in on the bank in a feeding frenzy, and I think they would take a minnow or bait under a basketball.lol Mike
