Hi gang !
Just me , Soupy in western KY. Found your site by just surfin', thought I'd hang around for a while.
I live on the Ohio River in Western KY in a small town named Dekoven,KY about 3/4 of a mile from the river. I mainly catfish but, do some bass and crappie fishing also.
I am a retired ( disabled) coalminer (Peabody Coal co) so, I have plenty of time to "fish".:D
Hope you guys let me stay around for a while.

Soupy_1us,
Welcome, and glad you decided to join the WIF family. My hat is off for any man that has mined for coal. I have a lot of respect for the workers who can steel themselves to go into those holes. That is one thing that I do'nt believe I could do myself.Enjoy yourself topside and enjoy the sunlight and fresh air. Along the way catch a bunch of fish.

I asked that because one of my buddies is from there. I have been up that way several times and done some fine fishin' while we were there. Not much else to do there.

Hello everybody! I am a newcomer to Kentucky, and found this group while searching for places to fish in Kentucky. It is nice to know there is a whole comunity of fisher-persons out there! (includes fishermen and fisher-ladies, I suppose you'd call us, fisherwoman sounds kind of strage, doesn't it?) Well, I just wanted to introduce myself. I have only been to Jacobson Park to fish, that being the closest body of water to where I live, but am looking for alternatives. Any of you fellows have any suggestions as to where I may go fishing and actually catch sometning? (so far, at Jacobson Park, I haven't even caught a mosquito!) regards, and very nice to meet all of you!

Howdy Dag:.........I reckon you're talkin' to me... That Drrebe ain't been on here in a while.
Yep it's nice being here in God's Country... Beats any city livin' ( 'cause I can pee offin' my back porch anytime I want too)... And the fishin' is good too (sometimes, for some people)... Come on up in April and we'll see ifin' we can catch some KY fish down at the lakes.
