What's the feeling about buying a Chefs Choice knife sharpner?
I only know of one guy that has one and he says.."they are great". Altho, he won't let me use his just to try it out. Just wanted to know, if it's worth the money before I go and buy one. I realize, they come in all different price ranges, just want the basic I guess?

They are ok! He won't let you because he doesn't want to have anything go wrong at the price he paid! I have an old one but there is nothing better then learning to use a steel correctly to put that edge on! I worked in a packing plant back in the 70's and untill you learned the job was hell! A good edge can only be put on and kept with a steel!
