when you use Cast nets, how do you keep the fish from falling out the bottem of the net?

That sounds like a small net. how big are the fish that are falling out? most people around here use 12' nets.

i asked a friend about a cast net and he said the same as big country and kirk said or you are pulling it back to soon or it may not open up all the way good luck from the mohawk

Gofish - 8' in illinois or 4' as marked on the box! Opens to 8'! The 5' that Wal-Mart sells up here is not legal in IL!

I don't know how you guys can throw a 12"? Maybe you got 6' arms! LOL

Not only do we use 12' nets, we use them while we walk the shore line. Most of the time the water is up to your chest. Very difficult, and is considered an art down here. It's the only way to catch enough mullet to fill the smoker..lol.

This should be a treat! I do OK with the smaller one cause I get it fanned out pretty good but to get a big one fanned out is an art! Can't wait to see Schoe's video of this one!
