We have a section of canal nearby that simply has NO large gills.
Last night it was 5:00 pm and I noticed on the weather channel that there were storm fronts headed our way. I and the wife grabbed the light poles and headed up there. I was supprised that it was for the most part grassed over already. We found a somewhat clear place upwards from a lock-dam. We got 72 in a couple hours, but they only yielded 3 lbs of fillets-chips.
It was still fun to get out for a bit, and is neat to fine tune my filleting ability:D I run these through at a constant 2 per min. when at home at my indoor cleaning bench. Mike
