rock river fishing

i am thinking about putting my boat in at prophtstown state park to go fishing in september. can anyone point me in a direction up or down river , also is there any bass or walleye or mostly cats. is it very rocky.

prophtstown is a great place to fish plenty of water for about 2 miles up and 2 miles down catfishing is great and the small mouth fishing is good right there at the park where the creek comes out there r walleye but they can be hard to find and yes there r alot of rocks some bigger than your boat goodluck.

bob fishing is good down the p-town way fer cats average fish is around 2 pounds. river is down some right now so. i don't know what you are useing fer a boat? flatbottom w/ a 25 n ya now how ta read the river. your good going up till ya see the old lyndon bridge n i mean once ya see it. i would not push it past that point n i fish down there alot. going down the i have never been much past the camp grounds on the left once you go under the bridge when the water is down. i have never had a reason to go any further than these two land marks when the water is down.. i have caught as many fish as i have had need to going one deriction or the other in any one day. i run a 1756 g3 w/ a yammaha 60.. n i would run it down there now with the water the way it is. BUT i have been fishing down there fer years and i am alittle :confused0018: crazzier than most people i know lol..
