As we all know body piercing is becoming very popular, this fisherman
got his the hard way,on a fishing pier in Venice Florida a man fights a
large Snook, and finally gets the fish up on the pier, the fish is around
33 inches long, man leans over to take the hook out and realese the fish,
has no slack in the line, seems he forgot about that part, fish flips, hook
comes loose and the fisherman ends up with a 3/0 circle hook in one
side of his nose and out the other side, has to pack his nose in ice till
it gets numb, then proceeds to use wire cutters to clip the hook and
remove it from his nose.people pay money to get a piercing,he got his
for free,LESSON learned, leave some slack in your line when removeing
a hook from the fish,WOW I bet he is glad the hook didnt go a little
further south no PICTURE needed to explain where it could have been.;)

Ouwch,
On a head boat in L.I.Sound I wore a Rapala that a guy beside me imbedded in my right eyebrow while trying to cast out to a school of bluefish. The mate taped it to my forehead because his fishing pliers could'nt cut the trebles.Reason I carry a pair of dykes with me now. I'm sure a lot of us have worn "fishing jewelry" at one time or another.

I've had a few hooks in my hide too. The last one was when teachin my three year old grandson to cast. We rode the ATV to a pond in the woods. I tied a floatin Rapala on his little spin-cast rig and pointed to the stump I wanted him to cast to. "Thud" the lure snagged my hat and then sunk the treble hook into the back of my shoulder. When I finaly got him to stop tryin to jerk it loose I cut the line and we headed back the three miles to the house with my hat pinned to my back by the Rapala. It took my wife two trys to pull it out of my shoulder. When things settled down I went thru the tackle box I gave him and removed all the barbs on his hooks.:p

yeah young kids are great for the free piercing thing. my son (3 years old) was nice enough to give me a circle hook in the webbing of my hand between my thumb and pointer finger. circle hook size 4. he too gave it a few good jerks to ensure penetration.
hurt like hell but the chicks dig it.
