Looking to catch more Flatheads here

hi, everyone I live here in Crestview,Fl Ive been tring to learn how to catch flatheads I work about 80 plus hrs. a week so its hard to find time to fish Ive been fishing Apalachicola River havent had much luck but ive been working hard to get it right so im here to se if I can learn anything to help me on my quest to be a beter flathead fisherman I know deep sea pretty good I commercial fished for 7 yrs. out of Destin Ive fished 3 flathead tournaments and will fish the next one on may 26 i got a 21.6 iber at the last one at Bristol so mybe ill meet some of you at Blounstown it seems like a relly great forum and looking foreward to talk with you all.. thakns for having me

Burton, glad to see you here! I plan on getting up to Wewa next week, not to fish Blountstown but to pratice for the FCC. Like you, I'm still learning a little bit at a time but I'm having a great time doing it! Don Minchew and Maurice Sawatis have helped me out alot so if you have any specific questions those would be the guy's to ask. Hope to see you on the water....Ray

I noticed nobody talks about the Blountstown tournament on may 26,27 is there a reason?and one of my biggest ? about the river is about the dead lakes is there good flathead holes there? and if so do you fish shallower spots than what everyones told me about the river (look for 30" holed) thanks for saying hi and about the weekend ill be there this weekend i was going to try some places out around Blountstown day time i usually fish the dead creek between Blountstown and Bristol maybe ill see you there thanks

Thanks Maurice that would be great i was in the 2004 Blounstown tournament and the 2004 bristol tournament too didnt get to fish any in 2005 :( but started the yr right fishing the bristol tournamet this yr ill be fishing saterday and sun morn this weekend will you be on the river? talk to ya later thanks
