Micah & I took my nephew and son down to Lake Storey on Saturday and did some crappie fishing. We did pretty well, coming home with 35 crappie and 5 bluegills. The water was amazingly clear and we could actually spot fish the crappie. There were times when we could tell each other to set the hook before even feeling the fish on the line.
A few were caught with tube jigs and crappie nibblers, but most came when we tipped with a lively minnow. It was really need to see the males protect the beds from intruders.
