This past holiday weekend I met an interesting fellow who told me he uses bread and only bread for catfish. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with this bait.
also for us newbies i found a quick reference guide to tying different fishing knots.

Bread for cats is a new one to me . No doubt that it would work, but here in the midwest one would end up with a ton more carp than cats. Mike

like MIKE said a lot of carp, but i think a cat would be an accident, learning,
to tie the knots is most important to add to your knowledge.KIRK

Here is another great link for knot tying, well animated. Click on a knot to see the animation. :)

Good fresh bread rolled into dough balls is good... Put a little flavor of some kind on it ,cheese or something.. Mix stink bait with it, it will work...Just don't put cheese bait on crackers.... Taste like s#$t !

hasham put it under the door handle on his car ,just a little and hell never figure out where the stinks coming from every time he gets in. WARNING........there could be consequences. used to make a doughball from kings hawaii bread.did real well up north for channels on it.

im prepared to reap said consequences,
also as my experience catfishing has triple since this post i have found its just better to use stinkbait than mess around with bread,
u get this stinkbait called "Wild Cat Cheese" at bass pro down here
it seems to work the best

I know we are sponsered by Basspro and all that but, I still prefer my "Junnie's Shad Dip" you can find it on Cattrackers site... I buy it by the cases... IT DOES STINK ! I have out fished G&S Cheese Bait and Charlies Cheese Bait and several others with this JUNNIE'S SHAD BAIT ! Just don't try to taste it yourself.....If you get it on your hands you might think you made a mistake this morning when you were taking care of business after your morning coffee and forgot to wash your hands or you run out of corn cobs.. That's how bad it is.Was using it this morning and the guys with me would gag everytime I open the bucket.
