Yep,,My client caught another 30lb king today, But as you can see it was right off the beach! He hit a live menhaden on the surface.
We had to chase this one for 25-30 min "after" we got off the anchor.

Great looking fish Rick and it looks like another happy client.
Are the big Bull Reds in the Bay's now out your way? or do they come in at a different time of year?
Thanks for the post and photo's, Schoe

Thanks guys!
The giant "red drum" show up in late May-June and spawn in Late Sept-Oct then they go offshore for the winter.

Thanks Rick for the info. I can't imagine the fight a big 20 Lb.+ Bull Red must give up. Ive caught lots of them in the 7-10 Lb. range and they are like a D-9 Cat to bring in. Those big ole boys must really put up a fight.

Yes Sir,,,The giant Red Drum are a good fight on 30lb tackle. Its not a good idea to use any tackle smaller than that. You dont want to fight the fish to death. You want to get them to the boat as fast as you can..............
