My Grand Daughter Skylar, new in the family due to a recent marriage of her father to my Daughter Andrea, let me know that she had never been fishing before and would like to go.

So, when asked what she would like for her B-Day, yeah you guessed it, a fishing pole and tackle box was her answer.

She stayed over at our house last night so after Breakfast we made the trip to Farm and Fleet and fixed her right up.

I think for her first taste of fishing I will take her Fri. with me when I go fishing for Chubs that I use for bait. That will keep her interested for sure and probably spoil her.

Here's a picture of her upon our return from Farm and Fleet, Schoe

Fishing with kids is a blast! Took my 2 year old boy bluegill fishing for the first time a few month ago, what a great experience. Hope you knock’em dead. Tell Skylar, Happy birthday.

Happy Birthday Skylar!! Good Work Grandpa!!

Now everyone else on the board, who have you taken fishing this year that has never been? How many of you have taken the Anglers legacy pledge? It's our job to grow and pass on this sport we all love!!!

For the record I have taken three kids this year who had never been! They have all been multiple times with me too!! There is nothing like the look on a kids face when they get the first one, and the first BIG one!!
