Fished the river from the Market Street bridge in Ottumwa last night. The Channels are getting more active, and were hitting on Chicken liver, shad guts and shrimp.
Shrimp seemed to be the best, with shad guts a close second. My sister-in-law found a sweet spot, a "hole", and could barely set her pole down. As soon as she'd get it tied down it'd start bobbing again. i think I learned two new cusswords last night when she lost a big one!:D
