Illinoisgiller- Green River ?

Hey Mike,
I just moved to Colona out in LEvel Acres and was wondering where the best place for shore access and to throw a canoe or boat in the Green RIver would be? I know its known for some smallmouth holes and also supposedly has some good panfishing. Ive never fished the river and though you might be able to help me out. Thanks in advance.

Cory, I don't fish the Green, but have walked it with the kids years ago. As for a ramp, I don't recall ever seeing one. Only the portion from Colona down would have enough water for boatin. Just drop in at the Rock River ramp at the end of the canal and it is only a couple hundred yds. down to the mouth of the Green. Be carfull on the Green She may be small, but can be dangerous........Mike
