the pond that i go fishen in is loaded with bluegill, shellcracker, and georgia giants and i have been about 5-6 times so far and everytime i have been we have caught over 100. this last time we went which was 3 saturdays ago we caught about 150 fish. the pond aint but about 4 yrs old and about 7 acres, it is a awesome place to fish. we caught about 10-12 bass but didnt keep but 5 of them. cant wait till them bass get up to about 5-6 punds in that pond, the biggest one caught that day was about 3 pounds.

bamabass-WOW! that souns to be a neat pond. From what I have read, catch and remove all the Georgia Giants you can. (With the pond owners blessing of course.) The hybrids can revert back to the common green sunfish over time. You are enjoying the prime of a pond that size.
Share pictures if you have the ability. I sure enjoy seeing pics. of those bigguns. Wish you continued success, Mike

for bait we use crickets, jigs, rooster tails, i have used worms there one time and the fish bit them good too. for the bass we use plastic worms and lizards, i have also caught them on rooster tails, and caught 1 the last time i went on a little jig(first time i ever done that). there aint any catfish in the pond just bass and bream. and a georgia giant is a hybrid bream of some sort. o yeah and the size of the bream are bigger than a grown mans hand very big bream in there, its awesome to catch those cotton pickers on a ultra light thats fun.
