With our family growing everyday, I thought it would be interesting to share what each of us do for a living. It also would be a good resource for information.
We have plumbers, welders, nurses, retired surgical techs and who knows what other expertise and knowledge is hidden in our family.

So since it was my idea, I'll start it off:

I am a Registered Nurse. I teach nursing courses and work for a hematologist/oncologist (when I am not fishing).

My lovely wife, Sethsmommakat (or yes dear as I affectionately call her) is an Assistant Professor of Nursing and and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

Who's next? :D

Well, I hope you got time to read all of this...

NUTTIN'..... I don't do nuttin' anymore. And I don't want to bore you by tellin' you about all the different coal mines, from 32 inches to 6 foot high, I've worked in over the last thirty years..(Island Creek Coal Co. , Pyro Mining Co. and The "BiG" Peabody Coal Co.) Hell, I didn't even get my High School education 'til I was 35..( STAY IN SCHOOL KIDS )...They had shut down the mines and I didn't have nuttin else to do but, go to school..... the two business I've owned...(Arts and Craft Store and Building Trikes ( that's three wheeled motorcycles to you city folk) )...Not to mention the trucks I drove...........And how I've turned out to be "Doctor Bait" now.
I guess, now you can call me a "Guide on the Ohio River" can't call me a "Fisherman" 'cause seems like all I do is take people out on the river to catch fish.. I damn sure can't catch none !

The hardest thing I do now, besides fishing, is to walk out to the mail box to get my checks .................................................. ......and drink beer , sometimes.

I did study to be a "Landscape Architect" (learned how to raise fishing worms )
They wouldn't even take me in the services 'cause I was the last of a military family (four brothers and a father in there).
Guess they figured I be better off 500 feet below ground diggin' coal....Did I tell you that I've been married to the same woman for thirty seven years... (that's a job too)
Damn, after reading this ...I need to get a life !

Well folks, after many jobs in my life,i ended up designing custom kitchens
and counter tops, and doing custom design cabinet work for hospitals and nursing homes for handicap use.My wife Sue was a surgery tech for 27
years and loved it.We also have 3 daughters that are RNs with 1 certified
to go on the chopper and other wise works in intensive care.Appears
like with all the medical experience we have here we could open a clinic.
Dont want to leave out the other daughter She married money, and the
2 sons work in homes for the handicap.sounds like with all the medical
experience we have on here we could open a clinic.:)KIRK

Self employed...constuct wheelchair ramps, door widenings, custom roll-in tile showers, etc. for handicap clients on Medicaid. The state programs I contract for helps keep members of society out in society instead of in the nursing homes.

I'm a nursing assistant and I'm going to school to be a registered nurse. I graduate in may. I may go back to school and specialize to be an OR nurse...if I have any ambition left after these last 2 semesters of school!

Ya asked for it,so here goes,
Started out with my dad, chicken ranching in egg production.(chicken farmer)
Did my stint in the army for three years.(far East mainly)
Worked in home construction for awhile, then started in my own business erecting modular homes.(union says I'm a finish carpenter)
Found out I liked making money instead of having a business without having a good retirement plan,so I sold out and went to work at Pratt& whitney Aircraft.Went up the ranks from being a multiple machine operator,to a jet engine mechanic,to operating multiple tool rooms for the company.Stayed employed there for 28 years and was offered early retirement at the age of 56.Momma did'nt raise no fool so I accepted it.
Since then I've tried my best to enjoy doing as little as I had to,and a lot of what I enjoy the most.
In between while I was in construction,I learned many trades, but became master of none.
Life has been kind to me as far as working is concerned.
BILL
